Peethadhishwar Rudranath Mahakal Vishal Maharaj of Rashtriya Anahad Mahayog Peeth, located in Navlapura village of Dang area, was stopped by the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday from offering prayers at the ancient Martand Sun Temple in Anantnag. Later Saint Rudranath took out Prabhat Pheri Sankirtan and offered prayers at the deserted houses of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits of Anantnag. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, Saint Rudranath had announced to perform Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva in the ancient Martand Sun Temple. For this, Saint Rudranath had reached Anantnag on Tuesday with a group of about four dozen Pandits. But the Jammu and Kashmir administration did not allow worship at the temple citing security reasons and restrictions on religious activities since the temple is under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Saint Rudranath has strongly objected to the administration’s ban on worshiping in the temple. Saint Rudranath said that the purpose of worshiping him in the temple is to awaken the consciousness of Maa Bharti, to establish Sanatan Dharma and to develop an atmosphere of peace and love among the displaced Hindus from Kashmir.
